A little Decorating!

Stef put up some of the decorations we have so i thought i would share. You may also notice that we just seeded on saturday so you can see the straw in the the yard. I will give more pictures when the grass is fuller in a couple weeks.

An Update!

So finally i took some more pictures today to give an update. I buried my sump pump pipe in the front yard to get the water away from the house and even put in a pop-up. I also included pictures of the patio which will look much better when we get some grass in.

So finally I found a spot in our bedroom that the free internet I am stealing will upload pictures. Here is our new dinning room furniture. Stef wants to change the color of the seat coverings but they will do for now. I will try to update new house events each day this week so we can catch all of you up on the house. Sorry for the wait!

I haven't had much time to update the blog with moving in and everything. I have taken some new pictures to show but right now since I'm stealing internet from some neighbor i can't upload anything. Check back in a few weeks when we hopefully have our own internet!

Final Walk Through Complete!

We did our final walk through today and now only have one week left. It finally feels like home. All they have to do is final grade the yard and touch up some spots we saw today inside. We also bought a new dining set with china cabinet and leather furniture for the basement.

A Week and Two Days Left!

Carpet and hardwood floors done! Not really a whole lot left to do. They will probably pour our driveway and sidewalk tomorrow and then its really just some minor touchups. Can't wait till the 25th.

Nice granite!

The counter tops are in and electric is 90% of the way done. We need to start looking at appliances and some blinds. Golden Tee will have to wait for now, but not that long!

Outside paint started!

They put a first coat of paint on some of the trim on the outside of the house. Looks like the plumber was also there and the gas lines are completely hooked up. Some other fun news is that when i walked out back and looked at the pond there were some pan fish swimming around. We might have to have a fishing derby one of these days. Catch and release of course!

One Month to Go!

We found out that we should have keys in our hands on July 25th. Stone work is done on the outside, details done on the columns and staining done on the mantel, half wall ledge and front door. The electric and plumbing work should be complete after next week. An end is near!

Finish Carpentry Looks Done!

Well the house looks like it only needs a couple weeks of work done and it will be finished. They are saying another 2 months but we will have to wait and see.

Locked Out!

We are now locked out of our house since so much is done. They have pushed back our move in date to 8-18 but i think that depends on how long it take to get our granite and outside stone done. It is nice to be able to walk down stairs instead of climbing that crappy ladder they had.

Things are looking good!

Well we have a furnace installed and they were working on the cabinets today. The fireplace was finished and the vinyl flooring put in the bathrooms. At least the storms havent flooded are basement which is always nice.

Floors are in!

They finished all the hardwood floors in the house and should be able to start on the cabinets soon. Each day it's looking better and better!

Light it up!

The fireplace is coming along great and should be done in the next couple days. Looks like they are finishing the neighbors wood flooring and cabinets and will be in our house in the next two weeks.

Drywall finished

Well they got the paint up and cabinets delivered to the garage. It now looks like not much left to do even though we know there is plenty.

What a day!

So we got power, knockdown finish and a garage door installed today. We have the only house with a garage door which makes me feel good. Next thing will be to prime and paint. Can't wait!
